Each training will need to be registered for individually\, and you do not have to take them all. \nRC0201 – Individual Assistance Workshop Series (March 6 at 12:30 p.m. to March 8 at noon). \nThis two-day workshop explores a wide range of FEMA Individual Assistance programs\, procedures\, and responsibilities to help state and local emergency management professionals plan\, prepare\, and put into action disaster recovery best-practices. Topics include disaster recovery centers; access and functional needs; preliminary damage assessments (PDA); temporary\nhousing; the Individual Assistance sequence of delivery\, including Small Business Association (SBA) practices; disaster survivor assistance teams (DSAT); IA programs such as Crisis Counseling\, Other Needs Assistance\, and Disaster Case Management; secure data sharing policies (e.g. Routine Use Requests). Instruction for this workshop is provided by FEMA Region III Recovery experts. \nIndividual Assistance Preliminary Damage Assessment Training (March 8 at 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.)\n \nThis 1/2-day workshop describes the information needed by the Commonwealth to perform initial individual assistance damage assessments (IDAs) and by FEMA to perform joint individual assistance preliminary damage assessments (PDAs)\, roles and responsibilities\, the degrees of damages\, and how damage assessment information is collected. \nFire Management Assistance Grants Training (March 9 at 8 a.m. to noon) \nMore information for this training will be coming – not available for registration yet. This is simply a “hold the date” mention. \nVirginia Department of Emergency Management Debris Overview (March 9 at 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.) \nThis 1/2-day workshop describes the types of debris that can be found after an incident\, tools for calculating quantity\, the operation issues associated with debris removal\, identification of responsible agencies\, contracting debris removal\, applicable environment restrictions\, and more. \nPublic Assistance Preliminary Damage Assessment Training (March 10 at 8 a.m. to noon) \nThis 1/2-day workshop describes the information needed by the Commonwealth to perform initial public assistance damage assessments (IDAs) and by FEMA to perform joint public assistance preliminary damage assessments (PDAs)\, essential information and documentation\, debris impacts\, and how damage assessment information is collected.
